Blessed Thistle / Botanical Name (Cnicus benedictus)-
This plant is found in the Mediterranean region.
The herb is used for indigestion, infections and wounds. Today blessed thistle is used as a tea for loss of appetite and indigestion and may assist with colds, cough, fever, bacterial infections. Stimulates the production of bile which helps in detoxification of the liver. Blessed thistle contains chemicals called tannins, which might help with diarrhea, and swelling. Don’t confuse blessed thistle with milk thistle.
